Report: Marshawn Lynch asks Seahawks for release |
Per the report, Lynch would have to either be traded or released by the Seattle Seahawks due to his NFL rights remaining with the team.
But now an interesting piece of news has come about. It appears that Lynch himself is possibly getting the ball in motion by requesting a release from Seahawks brass, according to Jordan Schultz of the Huffington Post.
Lynch is native from Oakland and played college football in Berkeley. The Raiders just let running back Latavius Murray test free agency and he was quickly signed by the Minnesota Vikings.
This puts the Raiders in need of a lead running back. What better of an option than an Oakland native that has a year’s rest under his belt?
There should be more happening here soon on this breaking story.
